Yesterday evening at dusk , I was pulling into my driveway and a partridge ran out and legged it up the road.
Never seen one before...how lovely!

They're funny wee things aren't they? They've got the oddest gait! We've got a family of them who live around our street - we're right next to some woods so maybe they come from there.

Yehh...it's gait is strange- sort of waddled up the hill with a leg at each corner ( if you know what I mean??)
