Now that's a good offer Seasprout.

BGBW weekend always means all my birds clear off somewhere else despite the sunflower seeds, general seed mix, peanuts (in containers and out), nijer seed, coconut feeders, and dried mealworms (get them at £5 for 400g vs a tub in Garden Centre at 800g for £30 yesterday!).

Still I shall put all my thermals on and go sit for an hour in my garden and wait..... just in case!

have you got a Poundstretcher or Home Bargains near you - they do 500g dried mealworms for £1.99. I buy them all summer to have a good stock for the winter, and they were surely needed this winter.

T8Ter - yes Poundstretcher is right next door to Tesco but so far I haven't see that offer - will take a better look this weekend - thanks!

Went into Poundstretcher this morning but could only find

Dreied mealworms 80g @ £1.99 and 400g @ £7.99

Looks like I'm back off to the pet shop in sunny scunny for the 400g for a fiver.
