    It's been suggested that they could be blackbird casts?? Seem too big at an inch in legnth!!

            I'm sure I've see something like that before...gawd- my poor brain is shrinking!

                Have you a local natural history museum? I take all my 'finds' to Oxford NH museum (they are fantastic) Two fossils that I found they were able to identify for me (one was a bone from a baby mammoth, the other was dinosaur poo!)
                They can help with things other than fossils. Have you been able to open one up?
                What so they seem to be made off?
                If you hold one does the end part wriggle a little?
