  • Tale of an egg.

I was prepping my pea container today forking in some new compost and a bit of growmore.

Imagine my surprise when I dug up a hens egg, buried about 2" down and completely unmarked.

Can only think I am going to have a very disappointed squirrel.

I did that too the other day, I reckon I scooped it out with the shovel when I was cleaning them out. Did you break yours? Ooooo the smell.....!

Just had to find out, curiosity and cat come to mind.

I have been asking around and it appears one of my neighbours leaves the odd old egg out for the foxes. So now we have a disappointed squirrel and a fox.
