Wow Two Sheds, that video is lovely. I hope the hog is doing well, whether with you or a local hedgehog carer.
I came across a hedgehog today, he wandered in to the middle of a suburban street and didnt seem too sure where he was going. Luckily I had some thick gardening gloves in the car, managed to get the cars to stop and picked him and put him in someone's garden - the householder was out on his driveway and said he often saw hedgehogs in his garden. I was worried but in the moment didnt think - but having read online I realise that being out in the daylight is probably a bad sign, and he could have been poorly. I should have taken him to get help.
I think I am going to either build or buy a hedgehog house for winter hibernation. These little creatures are lovely.
Well, he wasn't with me long. I put his cage in the garage, and he escaped (out of a one inch gap in the cage, and through another one inch gap under the garage door). I did my best, but the call of the wild was too strong
I hope he's OK: we have lots of hoggies in the old railway track behind the house.
