Hello, Nicos,
I'm new here, but want to tell you about the peacock that lived next door when I kept banties. I used to think he came over for feathered company, until the day I saw him go into the henhouse, chivy a hen off her nest, break open an egg and eat it!

Persona non grata after that, and the dogs were given permission to chase him out. Had to wire up the big door and cut a bantie size door in the bottom of it.

Hmm...well- he really is a pest- he cries for breakfast/lunch/supper ( we give him out of date dried cat food)...we feed him hoping he'll not be too hungry and start munching on our fruit and veg crops.

He did go into the chook area once and was attacked by Betty our smallest banty as he landed near her chicks.
