Can you make the picture bigger? If you mean the holes at the bottom then it could be woodpeckers. To stop them you can cover with metal.

Woodpeckers do enlarge the holes in nice man-made nest boxes. As Capsid says, cover the hole with a metal plate in which you have made a hole the size YOU want. You can put it on the inside if it spoils the look of your box.
We had a woodpecker in the village pecking furiously at the top of a pole which was covered in metal sheeting. You could hear him at the other end of the village!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

Hope this is a bigger picture as I am rubbish at this stuff.
The hole is at the bottom of the box and I will try as you advise and put metal over it thanks...Attached Files

Could be anything - most rodents will chew wood. I still think a metal plate inside will blunt their appetite!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
