  • Night time visitor

We've just bought one of those motion sensing cameras with a IR flash for taking shots at night.

I'm a real wildlife nut so I'm overjoyed to see that we have a badger visiting the garden - he/she seems to like eating the plums from our tree

Fantastic. I gather you don't grow veg at home?

I can see why you'd think that Glutton, but we have a large veg patch only about 10m from the tree! They haven't touched anything so far - I would never have known they were visiting until I saw this shot. We also live next door to a huge allotment plot and everyone we spoke to this morning was shocked to hear that we have badgers about - no evidence of them at all Maybe the ones in our area prefer fruit to veg

There's loads round here, though we've yet to see them in the garden, luckily! But the foxes are around in full daylight.

              Lovely picture by the way!

Fabulous picture. I have friends with a large veg patch and very large compost bins. They wondered what was disturbing the compost every night and thought it must be a fox, until they stayed up and watched and saw a badger. He had left the veg alone, so can only imagine he must have been after the worms?

                  How fantastic is that?????...well caught!

I have a young plum tree about 7 ft high and it had a few plums on the lower branches- which disappeared overnight. I did wonder about the possibility of a badger- now you've confirmed it!

Fantastic picture, its upstaged a drunk me somewhere as my wallpaper on my lappy.
Nicos have you ever seen a badger over here? Or any of you other French Grapes for that matter. Been lucky enough to see a few when in UK but not seen one here.

Great picture. I've been thinking about one of those cameras. Anyone have any recommendations for models or suppliers?

                        We have this one:

                        Bushnell Trophy Cam: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

It's a great camera for the price - my only slight issue is that it takes a full second from trigger to photo, so sometimes we get a few blanks shots and I'd love to know what was there!
