  • It's a mystery.....

    We took this shot with our night vision camera quite a while ago and have been puzzling over what is in this shot ever since.

    We've tried playing around with contrast/brightness and everything else we could adjust but it still just looks like a bit of an indistinct blob. If anyone has any thoughts on what this could be (maybe someone who is good at those magic eye puzzles ) I'd be really grateful to hear what you think!

      It hadn't been cut for a while Those tall stalks were at least 8-10 inches tall.

                        I'm going to suggest that's it's a woodcock. They are nocturnal- and about that size.

                        Here- listen to their call- have you heard that????

                          At fist glance I thought it might be a hen Pheasant, half asleep, but it does look quite like a Woodcock.

                              Well I haven't heard the call, but I can definitely see where you're coming from Nicos - the pattern down the sides of the 'blob' look very similar to the wing markings.
