First Honey Bee

Lots of ladybirds here and at Local Association Apiary about 7 miles away.

(seems to be a year for them.. last year saw very few)

Had lunch outside today ( yup!!) and saw my first honey bee of the year too!
It even had pollen on it's legs ( the only flowers I can see open are the daffs and crocus in our garden)

Also saw my first bumble bee and humming bird moth

I rather like this 'sitting outside' business!...

Saw my first foggy bummer yesterday

I saw my first bumblebee of the year today, dipping in and out of some crocus i'd planted in the front lawn - if i had my way i'd turn the whole pointless patch to a flower meadow, but a few bulbs will have to do
