Last year I was a little lapse in my pruning and tidying up of the garden and ended up leaving a lot of dead growth out through the winter.
As a side effect there seems to be a huge amount of 7 spot ladybirds overwintering in my garden, hibernating in all the dead growth. Today I've been trying to tidy up my Strawberries and Clematis but haven't really gotten anywhere as I'm having to shake off and search for so many Ladybirds from the old growth and find somewhere new for them that it's taken me an age.
Hopefully they'll all stick around and keep the aphids under control.
