Frog spawn and cold weather forecast

Our frogs have been very busy recently and we now have lots of frog spawn in our pond.
I'm worried now that we have plummeting temps and snow forecast for the next couple of days and I've heard stories of frog spawn freezing.
Do you think they will be affected? Or is there any thing I could do?
I've read things about putting it in a bucket / covering it with bowl / pushing it deeper into the pond (ours is quite near the edge and in quite a high clump)
Or should I let nature take it's course?
We really enjoy watching them change into froglets so I'd hate to lose them.

I let nature take its course. Millions of eggs are spawned because only a few tadpoles will survive into adult frogs. The rest are taken by birds, newts, the cold ...

Our frog spawn was frozen on top about 4 days after it was laid. (the cold dampened the frogs'ardour:-).

No spawn left: lots of tadpoles.

Happens every year to us.

Frogs have adapted : not to worry...

(Unless we get real cold and pond freezes 20cm thick - which will kill them I suspect.. but usually only in winter here.. )

I know I shouldn't get too involved and nature will take it's course but it can be difficult! Thanks for the advice.
