    No hummingbirds in the UK

You're more than welcome to join in with us Brits, but our climate, wildlife & so on are going to be pretty different to yours. We can give advice as best we can, but it may not be correct for you over the pond

I'm crazy about hummingbirds. I wish someone would colonise Europe/Africa with them.

Hummingbirds only live in the Americas, but every once in a while a bird escapes from captivity in Europe and other parts of the world. If a large number escaped, chances are they would breed.

Ever heard of invasive species and the harm they can do?

Not all non-native species become invasive. We all have non-native plants in our gardens.
What harm could the hummingbirds do? Drink nectar and pollinate flowers?

The hummingbird moth is non-native and yet so welcome here... why not hummingbirds?
