  • Bee Nest Help

I'm not sure if i'm posting in the right place but....

I'm in the middle of digging out a border at the bottom of my Mum's garden, there is an old tree stump there that came up really easily and there is a bees nest in it. There are quite a lot of them flying around the place now and I need to move them on ASAP as my parents want to spray them with something and I know if I don't move them on today they will attempt to raid them

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    What kind of bee?

If they're one of the bumbles (many different kinds) they are relatively harmless: they won't sting unless severely provoked.

I'm sure they are white tailed bumblebees TS. Leaving them alone is exactly what I'd do if they were in my garden, unfortunately I can't convince my elderly parents.

I've had to leave things for today and come home, hopefully now that the stump has been lifted and the nest disturbed they will move on to pastures new.
