Birdsong ID site????

Does anyone know of a good site for IDing birds by sound alone?
I've only found the RSPB one- but it's got a very limited example of each bird.

I woke up this morning to hear an unusual bird call at dawn.
Not heard it before, and I was wondering if it's something migrating.

I'd love to bookmark a good ID by song/call site if anyone knows of one????

Was looking the other day at apps. There's one for the ithingy but it's 3 quid and I am a miser.

But it would mean going through each bird and listening to all of them

This seems quite a good one bird songs bird sounds europe america
it gives 3 or 4 different calls for each bird, but of course if you haven't seen the bird, it still means you have to trail through and listen to all of the ones you don't know.

Yeh- I am aware of that site StaryD- but thanks!
...problem is , they only offer one call of many each bird makes- especially now it's mating/migrating time! ..I'd love to try and find somewhere with several different calls per bird!

Try this one Nicos - looks fairly comprehensive 9same problem as the others though - you'll have to listen to a lot of songs)

The more common ones can usually be found on a cheap CD if you keep searching

Migrants are only just arriving so chances are your bird is a resident species. Think about where you heard it and habitat might enable you to narrow it down a bit further.
Are you familiar with any songs/calls? Did it sound like anything you are familiar with?
