First swallow of the year!

Last nights we heard the first frogs/toads of the year - this lunch time it's the first swallow!

I think Nature is telling us Summer's nearly here folks!

Poor thing. It came through here on 28th March - taken a while to get up to you!
Two cuckoos shouting at each other yesterday, so I think you may be right. Not to mention the 31 degrees

On a rough calculation that's 28 miles a day with a strong , freezing cold NE headwind!

Saw our first swallow yesterday here in Somerset - a week later than usual this year.

I saw my first swallows last week, they were zipping about in a freezing easterly wind, I bet they were wishing they'd stayed in Africa.

Swallows arrived in north Essexshire yesterday!

First Swallow for me in west Suffolk on Saturday and this evening 2 House Martin flew around home for a while.
