What is digging up my garden?

I would say foxes. I buy enormous bags of chilli pepper from the Asian store and scatter that thickly on places where the damn things are digging.

It usually works and sends them off to ruin someone else's garden.

The only problem is it makes that garden a rusty red and unsightly for a while.

That will be foxes that came in night and just digging the holes. Foxes purpose is nothing then only play.
