3 Green Woodpeckers in my garden!

We were woken this morning to an unusual bird call.

When we looked out of the window there was a baby green woodpecker and it's mommy and daddy pecking away at an ants nest in one of the paths.

I've only ever seen one at a time- so to see 3 hopping around together was absolutely fantastic!

They're gorgeous birds Nicos - lucky you!!

Just googled and they are, indeed, lovely!

In my parent's garden we frequently see the Greater Spotted Woodpecker but never more than one at a time.
