Thought i was seeing things,by the time my camera was out they had moved, but still got these shots off our front, peeps passing had a good smile, plus the times they were on the road, the traffic was very well behaved, now that was a miracle,we tried to shoo them into the back via garage, all of a sudden they flew off over the houses, hopefully back to the water park/wild life place,i posted the individual ones as they are so colourful close up

We have the Avon at the bottom of the garden and we had ducks coming to the patio windows asking for food. We would have about 30 at a time. You can imagine the mess they made so we decided to stop feeding them. One day a chap up the road brought a duckling he found all on its own in the field over the river. What could we do!! Little chap used to sit between my feet all the time I was at home. He had a box to spend the nights in and each morning he would come out with me and as I turned stones up, he would gobble the wood pigs up. Anyway, we raised it until it was able to join the others. We have pictures somewhere.

What a sweet story about the duckling .
We have 2 small ponds and are also near the Avon.we were visited for ages by a pair of mallards who started to wreck the ornamental pond on the patio so I was glad when they nested elsewhere.one morning there was such a funny sight: mummy duck followed by all her babies walking down the lane into a garage. We rescued them and took them to a neighbour with a fox proof large duck pond. They were so sweet but sadly few survived.Attached FilesGardening forever, housework whenever!
