I've been trying to photograph this little lady going into her nestbox

but so far the best I've managed is this

I know what you mean, they sometimes sit for weeks to get the perfect shot. Well done for getting what you did though, they are slippery little ... erm birds

have you got a fast shutter speed on your camera? It takes rapid succession shots, making it easier to get those birdy shots. I took 3 hrs and over 500 snaps one summer, of swallows, and ended up with about 3 usable photos

Thank Dog for digital, it would cost a fortune in D+P

I don't know TS. I got a camera that was as simple as I could find, and there's still loads of settings I've not even looked at, let alone tried. And of course it doesn't come with an instruction book, you have to download from the website, and I hate having to trawl through on-screen pages of PDF to find what I want. I'll have to have a look at shutter speeds though. Must be a setting somewhere. Thanks for the tip.
