there is still time to sow. it takes about 60 days to flower in warm weather.you can sow direct in to warm soil or in pots

Although if I try sowing direct nothing ever comes up worth seeing as they get slugged first - strangely (and annoyingly) self seeders do fine so I often dig them up and move them where I want.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Ive popped some more in a spare space the other day, last year I covered my seedlings with a bottle till they were a good size gave them a better chance

I'd just sow direct and cloche to get them going on a bit faster
Mine are only 4-6" high anyway, so not that far behind - and they do grow fast.Comment

I sowed them this time last year into modules, then transplanted in position. Though I thought they wouldn't come to anything, they did, even after greenstick fracturing because they were too far apart and unsupported
