Pond advice

Just wondering what you think.
After rescuing tadpoles in forest puddles on track I now have a pond full of them (and some newts and a frog) which I've looked after by feeding boiled chopped spinach and mealworms. They are starting to get back legs , I've read I need to make sure they have somewhere to sit so il add another rock for that (already added one) , I've left the plants overgrown (more than pic) so plenty cover from birds etc. Should I net the area for more protection?
I will put a pic of area, they can also get through to neighbours and fields open at the back.
God knows what the dog will think.
It's not a big pond and now thinking if they come back it won't be big enough, do I need another pond?

So long as they can climb out of the pond they will be fine. No need to net the pond. As for another pond if you have room then fine if not the one you have will be OK.

Tadpoles love being fed, but they don't actually need to be fed, they will survive and grow anyway. But well done for rescuing them. I think they will come back but won't be laying frog spawn for a few years yet so you've plenty of time to dig a bigger pond
