    Which are your most Wildlife-friendly must-have Plants in your garden
    My Top Ten are - in no particular order
    Buddleia, Lavender, Red clover, Hardy Geranium" Rozanne", Prunella vulgaris "Self-heal", Geranium robertianum herb robert, Ajuga"Bugle", Ox eye daisy, Foxgloves,Wild Marjoram, Wallflower Erysimum ‘Bowles Mauve’, ,

    nettles, nasturtium, ragwort and brassicas

    I am guessing you are actually after flowers rather than fodder.

    Valerian
    Ice plant/sedum
    Calendula
    Alliums especially welsh onions
    Buddleia
    Single dahlias
    Sunflowers
    lavender
    purple toadflax
    fruit tree blossom

      YEP agree with all the above NG - maybe shouldn't have stipulated a Top Ten and left it unlimited but then gawd knows when we would stop as I have your plants - and im sure you have all mine LOL

        I think the main must have for a wildlife friendly garden is a keeper who is prepared to put up with an over-grown weedy patch in at least a part of their domain. Neat and tidy beds with carefully manicured lawns are almost as useless as bare concrete, from an animal POV. (I far exceed this BTW, as mine looks like an abandoned jungle crossed with a scrap-yard with the odd fruit tree poking through, for the most part)

          Yep, i agree with you ND Mind you i think this year my garden has gone from being "Wild" to positively "Feral" LOL - but its all worth it when you see the wonderful vistors you have - Every year as they arrive.. i just think Hello and welcome to the "Salad Bar"me beauties

            I have the "benefit" of deer in my garden which provides me with a ready excuse for not trying to grow anything much in the way of veg these days, not that I need much of a reason for avoiding hard work. :-)
