Was admiring one old boy's frog spawn in his Belfast sink today - he reckons it appeared mid January.
Nothing in my pond or buried plastic sinks - but I'm 5 metres north of his plot...

My pond's still WIP but I'm hoping to fill it in time for spawning. Mind you, the frogs might not trust a brand new pond...

Unlikely, there will be no food for the tadpoles, needs to be some algae.

True. Next year hopefully! Or I could try throwing in a few dead slugs, just for fun?

I was thinking of a pond, but was also about getting a few ducks.

Frogs have been keeping the strawberry batch clear this last 2 years, so thought it would be nice for them...

but Ducks will see it as duck food...

No frogs or toads yet let alone spawn.

First frogs arrived here yesterday, usually it looks like a piranha fest when they all get going!

Lets say that there is an uncared-for space somewhere that is brimming full of frog spawn.. so much that there is no way that it can all be viable.
Do I let nature take its course or do I liberate a bucket full? Spread it around (risk of duck weed et al) - there are one or two frog inhabited ponds that are without spawn...

If someone did- how best to for them to catch it without damaging - fishing net?
