timing of frogspawn

    Generally speaking, it's a good job not all frogspawn is viable, they do tend to err on the side of caution when making it...

    I'd not want to move it (without some kind of expert approval) as you increase the risk of moving redleg (a very nasty disease for frogs) around

    (that's an old like, but I assume it's still true).

    I checked my notebook - they spawned in my pond last year on 11th March, which seems quite late for London given when others' happen

      the good news: Mine finally showed up on St Patrick's day...

      the bad news: the pond has frozen over a few times since then. I assume any spawn in or above the ice won't have survived? (on one level, it doesn't matter, the fish will eat it)
