Frog in Greenhouse

Hi All, I have a friend in my Greenhouse. It’s Freddy the Frog.

Spring last year was when I first found him. I left him to his own devices but looked after him where I could by being careful and providing a place where he could go, along with some water. There are access holes in the bottom of the greenhouse so he has free access to come and go.

I spotted yesterday that he is back and I’m delighted to see my old friend again. Hopefully he will be with me for the whole year again.

Glad your frog has returned Rob. We had one in the tunnel last year, it's good to have them about.

I used to have a toad I shared with my neighbor but he disappeared one year and never came back.....

I'd a frog that lived in the strawberry patch. you just had to be ready when it got disturbed.

I usually have a toad in the tunnel. There's always an upturned terracotta pot, sat on the raised bed for him to use as a shelter.

We have lots of common toads and last night I spotted my first natterjack toad. As far as I can tell, they're known as 'running' toads in Spanish. This one was trying to climb a wall.

No frogs on the land, though there is one down our well. It's been there since last year. Seven metres down, so I won't be rescuing it. I presume it rests in the gaps between the stones. I keep speculating on how it got there. Up the aquifer, I presume. We don't drink the water, in case anyone's wondering.

Yeah, they scare you half to death when they jump out of somewhere unexpectedly.

Its frogs that live in the GH here. They make me jump too.
