I know that it's not a good thing to put fresh manure on my plot, but does anyone know how long i need to leave it before it becomes well rotted??

I would say six months for rotted and 5 years for well rotted. Depends on what kind of manure it is ie Cow muck, horse muck, and what is in it ie straw, wood shavings etc?

Should be fine! There another few months until the land is planted so it will give it a bit of time to be incorporated into the soil! Another way to check is if there are 'brandling'(striped) worms in it cos they only start to break it down when its cooled!
