Seaweed

Living here by the coast there is no shortage of seaweed. After a good winter storm the whole of the north bay can be covered to a depth of 2'. How should the seaweed be treated after collecting? Should it be washed to get rid of the salt? Dried? Composted?

Any tips?

Hello Phantom! As you can see, the question's been asked before. Wash and compost is always a good idea but people seem to put it neat onto things like asparagus.
