They sound gorgeous Sue - is the Devon Rex the one with the curly hair or is that the Cornish - and your group are the near baldies?!

'Fatboy', aka Schumi's, fave pursuit is to attack mum and sister at every given opportunity - his favourite mode of attack - the belly flop - he completely envelops the poor little bu***rs! They often have to be separated at night - but that means I (or my son) get a HUGE furry hot bottie - which is great in the cold weather.

Both Cornish and Devon Rex have curly coats and curly whiskers, Devons have the more pixie like faces with huge ears. When they're kittens they're all ears and paws but grow into them.
If you're at all houseproud then they're not the cats you want, very fond of that game of getting round the room without touching the floor and things go flying.
Yesterday Cocoa managed to knock my propagator off the table, bang goes my onion and leek seeds, the onions beyond repair but I hurridly repotted the leeks and hope for the best. Minutes later she knocked a bowl of dirty washing up water out of my hands - water everywhere, emergency mop up, kitchen carpet ruined, complete change of clothing, slippers - urgh...
Must have been an hour later she fell off the kitchen work top into the cat food dishes, they went everywhere, more cleaning up - and I am frantically trying to get my work done instead of repotting leeks, mopping up water and cleaning up spilt catfood....
There was a bit of peace and quiet while she had a short nap then in the afternoon, climbing the curtains after a fly - yep the whole lot came down....
        But they're lovely really!

Its interesting this post, i have two, mostly indoor cats, and the contents of the litter tray goes into the dustbin. I think there is a difference between composting cat litter waste, and burying it.

Fullers earth, and the wood based stuff can be buried but i'm sure none is recommended as composting, as this implies you are using it in conjunction with edible plants.

Sadly the Feline advisory bureau requires a dontaion before you ask for advice, however i might ask Cats protection or your cat mag instead when i get chance.
