Lots of helpful replies, thank you all very much, what a friendly lot you are!
I will keep a separate bin for the office compost to feed the cranberries and blueberries but wont feel guilty if some of it goes in the main compost bin.

Hiya, the reason you shouldnt add citrus to a wormery is because it contains limonene, which is a surfacant (I think!) which means that it breaks down fats and oils, hence why it is used in a lot of cleaning products (and shampoo). Which obviously wouldnt be good for worm's moist mucus-y skin.
Its fine to add to a compost heap as hopefully a compost heap/bin is big enough for any worms in there to get away from the citrus peel until it has degraded.
You can add small amounts to an established wormery as long as you dont spread it everywhere so they can get away from it.
Hope that helps and well done you for taking your office waste home! Very dedicated of you!

Limonene - ah that takes me back to my days as a science teacher, any limonene extraction and the lab would smell of oranges for days afterwards - much better than the usual rotten eggs.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
