I have various containers of liquid tomato fertilizer, general fertilizer and seaweed liquid which I have had for some years - say more than three or four. Can I still use them or should I just chuck 'em ?

If it's in liquid form in stopped bottles, I would assume a long shelf life. If you use it you are unlikely to do any harm to your plants. In future, make your own (maybe it is your own), for now, I would use as directed. Waste not, want not.I you'st to have a handle on the world .. but it BROKE!!

Hmmm?????? Never thought of this! I have half a barrel of homemade Comfrey tea, probably about 20 gallon all told!
I wonder if it still stinks? Once the barrel has thawed I'll have to have a sniff.........either way I'll still be using it!My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order

I'd use it too. How can you tell if comfrey tea has gone off Snadger? It smell off when it's good? Maybe if it smells nice now, it's past it!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

Left a barrel of seaweed tea over winter once...smelt like an open grave....truly horrid.
I found the comfrey barrel lid blown over the allotment the other day and I have to say it didn't seem too offensive. None the less; I'd water the compost heap with it to help that along and make fresh 'tea' for next season.
