    Hi

    I found about 5 lumps of coal I think it is that or maybe its charcoal, are they any use at all? i have an allotment and growing crops in pots

    Only if you have a woodburning stove at the lottie!

    Charcoal can be crumpled up and added to the compost which hold plants for a long time i.e. fruit trees. It will help keep the compost sweet!

    I's often used in bulb compost thats used in pots without drainage holes for the same reason!
