    Cheap and cheerful?
Nettles (or fresh wee) for nitrogen
    Comfrey/Borage for potassium

    (roots don't need feeding)

How exactly do you make nettle, comfrey and borage plant feed. Do you just leve them to soak in water for a few days? I want to try that myself this year.

I just pack a 4 or 6pt plastic milk bottle with leaves and top up with water. Leave it for a few weeks until it looks like pond water, then dilute roughly 1:10 in a watering can.

I think there's a photo in my album on here: click on my name, then on Photo Albums.

how many leaves two sheds? e.g half full, 1/4 full? I like this idea of making weed 'tea' it'd stop the damn stuff smelling so vile.

              Packed full
As they rot down and you use the liquid, stuff some more in, as many as you can.

I've just packed a load of nettles into two milk cartons and filled them with water! I'll now leave them for a few weeks as TS's method and have some lovely nettle juice for my plants!

Just need to wait til my borage is big enough for harvesting, or find some comfrey!

                Thanks for the advice!
