Just been watching Wartime Kitchen Garden. The Land Army Girl was using a great bit of kit. Two long handles attached to a wheel with a blade behind it, like a hoe. She was pushing it up the rows of plants with the blade just below the surface and cutting the weeds off just below the ground level.

Must get one of those.

Hi, Do you know, i think i might have an original one. My son inherited it from his great grandad. Its got a, how can i describe it, grooved wheel and plough like blade behind with long handle attached. Wow i'm chuffed. Its now an ornament in the garden.

Hi NOG,I don't know whether you could help me but i have been scouring the net for a picture of the tool you were describing so as to compare with my item. Can't seem to find anything whatever i plug in. We were going to skip it recently when we were tidying up but i am glad we never now. Going to have a look at it more closely tomorrow and see if there is any writing on it, knowing my luck though there wont be.
