This is by far my favourite forum, everyone is so friendly and helpful, even with things outside of GYO, at the same time it is not exclusive and as I am not a regular poster but more of a regular reader this means a lot to me. In relation to the magazine, over Christmas I pared down my magazine stack by tearing out articles I wanted to keep and file. When reading this February's magazine I had deja-vu a couple of times when I seemed to recognise past advice/photos. For example, the making of a bean frame. At first I felt a little cheated and then realised that it doesn't matter how much good advice is repeated. I sometimes wish that we could get together and swap notes in person but I suppose the whole point of the forum is to bring people together who would not normally meet and exchange views. I also have to give my congratulations to the administrators who keep things running smoothly and listen and take action on any issues raised.

Not only do we think that GYO is the best, but if you google ( LJ ) 'Grow Your Own' or 'Grow Fruit And Veg', it comes up as the number one hit in the world! (and searching for Grow Fruit and Veg brings up the Grapevine as the second link after the GYO mag!)

      Results 1 - 10 of about 33,700,000

      How cool is that!

Wow we must be getting something right then. The best bit though is that 2.000+ people who have found this site agree with us so not only does Google get them here, we are doing all the right things to keep them here.

Well done everyone and keep up the good work.

Where Google is concerned the Grapevine has always held the number one position. This is down to the excellent SEO work carried out by Ben our wonderful web designer.

I googled it, think it's Search Engine Optimisation but could be wrong - never did like acronyms unless I'm using them myself!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

It is indeed Search Engine Optimisation.

I agree with pigletwillie, there is time in the month to read both magazines...if you can aford both!! I subscribe ti GYO (yipeee) and my friend subscribes to KG and when we have read our own we swop mags, so its the best of both worlds. The KG forum can get very heated over certain issues, esp what is "organic gardening" but I would never dare to contribute because I don't feel knowledgeable enough and I don't feel as though I 'know' anyone there....but I do visit there now and again for a peek.
