This being my first allotment I was bound to make a few mistakes. Thankfully they are at a premium, but one that I have made is to make a few rows of plants/seedlings slightly out of reach of the watering can and to get to them I have to stand carefully where my plants are. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could purchase a watering can with an extra long neck to reach the slightly inaccessable plants. If not, then I'll get some pipe and some tape and improvise.

I've seen them at Haws too. A couple of good roses will help. I would definately recommend investing in a fine, a medium and a standard rose. They give you that extra reach, but also help to control the flow. Compare a fine rose to a standard one when watering seedlings, for example, and you'll see what I mean.A good beginning is half the work.
Praise the young and they will make progress.

Thanks for that NOG. I've made the decision not to bother buying another watering can though. The amount of rain we've had these last few days should mean that I won't need to water again until after the seedlings have sprouted, so then I'll know where they are and I should be able to put planks between them if I need to reach over a bit futher.
Thanks again everyone anyway.
