    Human Waste

Oh yeah nearly forgot, anyone have a septic tank ? when doing your winter double digging throw a bucket full every yard or so in the bottom (no pun intended) of the trench, if you need to ask "a bucket of what" then you don't have a tank !!

Do people recommend standing on a stool or going for the up and over approach?

Urinating at competitive altitudes always gives a male a self gratifying feeling, if you see what I mean

Urine's such a good fertiliser that I've heard stories of kids at school peeing their name into the playing fields so that the grass grows longer and greener in the shape of their signature!

Thats like the story of the guy who writes his girlfriends name in the snow with his pee and her father plays hell with them both. The girl says its just an innocent prank, but the father is cross because he says its her handwriting.

The old one's are the best

Back in the early sixties I stayed with some relatives of a schoolfriend of mine at a remote farm in the Yorkshire Dales. They had no mains water or sewers and the toilet was a two-seater wooden affair on the ground floor where everything dropped through into a tub which was accessed from outside and then emptied onto a compost heap. After a suitable interval the resulting mixture was applied to the veg garden and boy, did they grow some big vegetables, even with the shorter season they had up there.

Perhaps the question to be asked is - Are there any grapes that don't (use) pee on the compost heap - and if not why not ?

I don't put pee on mine. I grow in my own garden and I don't want the place stinking like a latrine.
I don't use shredded paper either - I'm just suspicious about what's in the paper and the ink.

I once hid behind a blackcurrant bush to switch me top round that I'd stupidly put on inside out and one of the old dudes rode past on his bike and shouted hello - so no, I don't pee on the compost.

It doesn't smell, if you apply it fresh. It will only smell if it is left around unused.
We have a Dalek in the small back garden (2 foot away from the patio) and it has no smell at all.

I heard that inks are alright except blue for some reason I can't remember why and no shiny paper. I shred envelopes but remove the clear windows and the sticky seal first.I also use cardboard boxes that I get from stuff sent by ebay sellers!

It's quite difficult to pee in a dalek if you are a 'laydee' and I have tried to convince OH that it is a tremendously 'green' thing to do, but as yet I have been unsuccessful.
