    "turning" a manure heap?

I have two 330l dalek type bins filled with pony poo since June/July this year.
Initially as you would expect, they generated enormous heat. Now they have cooled down and I have used a small amount from the bottom of the first bin.
My question is essentially, as I turned my compost heap yesterday, I was wondering if it was worth turning the muck heaps or are they better just left a little longer?

Gawd I can't imagine how back breaking turning my muck heap would be I don't think muck works in the same way as composting but I may be wrong

I don't turn my heap or bin. It just may take a little longer, but I'm in no hurry. The reward to effort ratio just isn't good enough for me.

I always turn mine if at all possible, I find they heat up more and really steam on a cold day after turning.

Its what you can manage really, I also have 2 Daleks and find turning discourages the vermin from moving in.
The best way to turn the contents of a dalek is to remove the dalek from the top, place where you want it to be and put the contents back in, dont bother with the silly little hatch.

Theoretically yes, you should turn compost and muck heaps. However, I never seem to have the time or the energy - there's always so much else to do.

I don't have space to turn my compost in the darleks. I have two, and find one is rotting down while I fill the other. It's worked OK for the last couple of years.

I've just been given some fresh horse manure, and have added some to my dalek in the hope that a) it will help turn the contents into compost quicker, and b) that I might be able to use the manure sooner rather than wait the two years they recommend.

My local postmistress has just delivered me four big bags (which I've split into 10 smaller ones) and she says she can deliver me some every week - and she delivers to four other people in the village!! That must be some pony!!
