    That looks like a good solution to me. Nice work.

    I don't suppose you've had a chance to empty it yet have you? I'd be interested to hear if you do have issues getting compost from the corners like in that sketch I put up.

    I'm sure the other orientation can be a bit unstable, I imagine a good, sturdy base would be a big help in that case. Something flimsy like some thin walled 1" diameter bent pipe (like I imagine commercial ones would come with) would probably be completely inadequate.

      Yes I have emptied it. I had a scoop (The type you get in shops that sell sugar, flour etc out of bins). It worked fine. As for the base, have a look on youtube.

        I've seen a couple already, one was made out of something like 2x4 timber (was hard to tell) and looked very sturdy.

        Glad it was OK to empty.
