Advice re manure/lack of it!

Thanks all. Yep we manged to find a huge heap on sunday. Had to really dig down low to get the good stuff. For the time being weve put it in the compo bins we built and hope to try and get out as much couch grass as we can and sort the beds at the weekend. Forecast doesnt look goog though!

Have been given a tumbler compo bin for garden. But have to get OH to put stuff in and tumble! Its too heavy for me and haveing problems with my hands at the moment. Hope to get on top of making our own stuff, plus my neighbour is donating chicken poop to me that Im stashing away until its well rotted. Am lucky/unlucky to live by woods so am collecting leaves to rot. BUt this is all long term, hopefully the manure is helping to address the short term!

If anyone is in leeds I have the number for the manure heap people if you want it, theres loads at the moment. Donr think they will deliver as you have to get down and dirty and dig th stuff out!

Lets just say I was fragrant when I returned home on Sunday from digging out a manure cave!

The new plot is covered in broken glass too, I assume Im gonna have to get the seive out on that, especially since the kids are hoping to help

Thanks for the advice on what else I can add to and rotational ideas. Im very new to all of this so its all a bit daunting, but I figure will have to learn from my mistakes and your wonderful advice! Thankyou all
