Sluggery?

Can I put slugs into a bin with my compostable waste and will they make compost and slug liquid, and if so, will it have any use in the garden? My wormery doesn't seem to produce anything useful so I wondered whether I could replace the worms with slugs!!
Has anyone tried this?

Not really the same, but sling them in your compost bin if you don't want to dispose them.

I would think you'd be opening a whole can of worm (excuse the pun). They'll lay there eggs in the compost, which in turn you'll put back into the soil causing you slug problems. Sounds like a vicious circle to me. But nothing ventured nothing gained as they say. I have heard of peeps doing this with snails, but I don't know how it all turned out. Good luck

Personally I wouldn't. Any I find usually go into a bucket of very salty water.

Hmmm, only today the children told me to put the snail I'd caught eating strawberries, in the composter, to let it live (we had a vote on it).
