Thought I would show you my little shredder. Its small but Christ its powerful. I was collecting up al the leaves and shredding them for leaf mould. Then I had an idea, I have lots of paper and cardboard I have been saving up to put in the compost. So I thought why not throw it through the chipper and see if it works. Low and behold it did. Lovely little pieces of paper and cardboard ready for the compost heap. The chipper is a little ALKO given to me by my father in law. I am getting a petrol one but this one is great. Here are some pics. Hope you all like them and that I have inspired some of you to try this out as well.

Shredding in a Chipper!
Did anyone use there chipper for shredding paper,card, veg peelings etc? I use mine all the time for that purpose, it is great. Got loads of leaves to shred now, ready for next year. Let me know how you got on, or do you think it was a waste time. I suppose it will depend on the shredder.
