Mixing Nettles and Comfrey or two separate brews?

I've got a few comfrey plants which I'm thinking about splitting up to increase my numbers for next year so I could probably make a very small brew of leaves.

I've got lots and lots of nettles.

If you were me would you make a mixed brew or two separate ones? I can see the ratio for N is slightly higher in nettles so I wondered if it was better to keep the comfrey on its own for tomatoes/peppers/chillies as the set fruit or if the nettle brew would be ok?

I have read a lot of the previous posts - very helpful. Off to wash out some big milk bottles now.

Can you make both, I mean nettle tea, comfrey tea AND nettle and comfrey tea? Do you have enough?
I toyed with idea of nettle tea, but then didnt have enough nettles really so plonked on compost heap instead, as they are also supposed to be brilliant for accelerating composting...

I always make mine separately as I want them for different things, comfrey for toms and other fruiting things and nettle for green stuff. I do grow my own comfrey but used to get bags of the wild stuff and have never found any shortage of nettles if you find a bit of rough ground

The joys of organig farming! Acres of nettles round the edges of the fields. The butterflies won't miss a few so yes I will have enough.

This is what I thought might be the case. Where do you get wild confrey or have I misunderstood what you have said?

There's loads of comfrey growing near the canal round here (well there is usually at this time of year, admitedly I've not been up there for a bit ), I've been known to take a couple of plastic bags up there and fill them without making any kind of dent in the total amount.

Right, well I've never noticed it round here but I'm going to start researching. It's an hour an a half's drive to the nearest canal! I do have enough ground to make a significant bed, though so I'll just keep chopping the roots in the meantime. Also I think some of my plants might not be Bocking but self seeders.

Using the leaves, or flowers or both? I can't find my borage on my plot - I think I may have inadvertently dug it out :/

I've sown some borage but I think it's going to be a while before it's big enough to harvest. Impressively large leaves for seedlings.

We have self-sown borage on our allotment - looks lovely.
Keep meaning to pick some flowers and preserve them!
