I could hang it on its side, perhaps? OR I could put it in the old dunny and stand my hammers and thingys upright in the compartments, OR in the kitchen with wooden spoons or glasses etc......
Speaking of which, any sloe gin left?

They call the site 101 but only show about a dozen. The light fitting is quite cool.

A pallet!! A pallet!! Good grief! I can only get my bike in the shed by turning the front wheel sideways and it has to go in the shed 'cos there's no room to leave it outside. We're talking small garden here, VC, as in, the runner beans are growing around the peonies as well as up the canes, the broad beans grow between the spuds, the sweetcorn is among the cabbages, the squash is sharing with sweet peas and the rasps are co-habiting with Florence Fennel (not in person, you understand), and between all that the foxgloves and delphiniums and everything else squeezes in where it can.

I'm not Hyacinth Bucket's sister you know, I don't have "room for a pony"!

Ok, Ok, Mothhawk, I get the message! What about a piece of drainpipe, stood upright, canes dropped inside it and wrapped with wiremesh to use for your climbing thingamies?#
I still don't know how to use my crate though

VC - how about cutting out the bottom under each section then place the crate on top of the ground or a raised bed , fill each section with suitable mix for long carrots to give them a lovely start for growing nice and straight for your allotment show - for details about the best mix consult AP - that's what I'm going to do, although I will be using the cardboard or plastic tube inserts for carpets, whichever I can beg off the local carpet fitter - I already have one which I have cut in two - should be able to do so again allowing for 4 carrots and I will sink them into a raised bed.
