clematis montana heavily in bud, but not a peep of an actual flower!!! if only it would just warm up a little... but we are predicted temps of 25 deg on thursday - not here though, as we are right next to the sea, but it sounds as if it will be nice.

One flower on our clematis montana FVV but don't know if it will survive the day as it is blowing a gale outside!

According to our local weather forecast, Spring should arrive up here on Thursday. Sunday was a scorcher, yesterday was overcast, today was nice in morning, baltic in afternoon and is still bloody cold and windy as I sit here.

we've got really weird weather over her at the moment - it was very humid and grey yesterday but with a strong sea breeze which was refreshing as I had a stonking headache all day - atmospheric pressure was weighing my head down. It's been drizzling today on and off in a weird way - a couple of big droplets and then nothing and then a little later on more big droplets and then nothing. I've got a feeling we've got a huge downpour coming this way and I bet it starts about 3pm when I'm taking the dog out!

Beautiful sunshine here yesterday but today although it is sunny it looks as though we may have thunder or something later & it's still very windy-doing my hayfever no good!

been gorgeous the last couple of days. montana flowering away, last daffs on their way out, and I have a geranium that has turned into a triffid - I keep digging out large chunks and planting them elsewhere but it just responds with another bid for world domination!

Saw my first butterfly yesterday - a red admiral I think (not too hot on that sort of thing). Ground feels warm now and is really drying out. I was beginning to think spring was never going to happen. It is still only five weeks since we had the last snow!

Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn't be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn't know that so it goes on flying anyway.

we've had butterflies for ages. I wish I noted down the day I saw them - actually I think I mention it somewhere on this thread.

Don't get to carried away - I saw a weather forecast today that predicted a frost for this weekend.

The gardening forecast at the BBC says frost returning to the north. Better to be careful than lose tender plants.

BBC website says 6 degress C tonight for my postcode.

I'll try and catch the weather report on radio 4 tonight and see what they say too.
