  • How do you feed yours?

I've now got some comfrey feed and a huge dustbin full of pony poo water, all ready and waiting to feed my plants.
I know the comfrey needs diluting (thanks for the advice jacob!) but I'm not sure about the pony poo water.....also with all the rain we've had, should I still dilute my feeds or just pour it around the roots of my plants and let the rain dilute it? Thanks guys! Bernie

Jacob - do you still dilute it first?

hi, im really new to this, and i am planning a veg patch but i have been buying the gyo mag and read on the net it is advisable to have your own compost heap if you like in your garden for the soil etc....
i know this is going to sound daft but i just wondered what do you put into the compost barrell to make compost? can you use your left over potato peelings? dry grass? manure? im not really sure, just wondered if you could help... thank you very much.....

I find this a tricky area - so read the advice from the venerable grapes with much interest!

For example - I have a (small) bag of Genuine Forest of Dean Sheep Doo just steeping in a bucket of water, and also a Can of Worms (getting well flooded out at the mo!) - my less-than-scientific method is sort of fifth fill a watering can with either, and fill up with water and use the worm stuff on toms/cougette/hanging baskets/brassica small plants/acer tree in tub/peiris ditto/rhodedendren ditto; and sheep doo on Prize Pumpkin and Tallest Sunflower. If I win either of the latter two competitions, I guess I have the sheep doo bucket right, at least!

If it is the black stuff that comes from the bottom of the can of worms in liquid form i think you are abit heavy handed with the dilution rate i used some of this 5 years ago it was good stuff but strong the best i ever used very potent jacob
