Looking at the UK soil pH map and judging from all the plants around looks like I need to spread some lime to get any veg to grow. According to all maps our soil is in the range of 4-5 pH.
Typical flora consists of foxgloves,Scot's pine, gorse and the other inedible species. Soil is sandy and probably nutrient poor as hardly anything grows here.
I was thinking about adding some lime and BFB this year ( no chance of manure this year).
Has anybody managed to turn around their soil succesfully? Any tips welcome, thank you very much
