Grass clippings - use of

There is a chance I might get to mow my lawn this weekend. (we're not talking chatsworth, I'll get may be 3 grassboxes out of front and back).

The dalek in the garden is quite full.
The heap at the plot has just been turned (but was probably too much brown vs green in it).
The next heap at the plot (ie where I turned the heap from) hasn't started accumulating yet.

What do the panel think I should do with my clippings?
squash them into the dalek?
add them to the old allotment heap (on the top or stirred in?)
start a new heap?
make a big nest and hide in it?

Mine are left on the lawn.
May not be the right thing to do but I don't let that stop me.

My sweetcorn and brassicas loved them as a mulch, but it's a bit early for that...

work well as a mulch for many things like soft fruit, or if you still have main crop potatoes to put in, the grass clippings can be put in first then a little soil put over them before the spuds.

Firstly never squash grass clipping together,they will form a mat of possible slime,could you sprinkle some on the soil and add something to mixs with it,and let it lie for a short time,before putting elsewhere,that way it should dry out a bit.

This afternoon I've spread my grass clippings around the raspberry canes.

Dig trench and put your clipping in there. Helps retain moisture and gives them a small boost.

I'm with Bren here - I put mine around the raspberry canes. Also useful for covering up little bits of squishy poo left behind on the lawn after clearing up after the dog
