I used these quite successfully last year for nasturtiums and cosmos (saved hours of pricking out). But I just can't seem to keep them wet enough. Anyone have any tips?
Probably doesn't help that they are in the polytunnel. I keep them under the bench and out of the main sunlight, but they just seem to dry out really quickly.
I have also found that there are some quite different qualities. Brought some from a large wholesale catalogue last year and they were very small and hard. Sarah Raven ones are peat free and alot larger and seem to hold the water better. (Yes I do order some stuff from SR - I'm a sucker for glossy catalogues with pictures )
