40 Iris bulbs for a quid
Cox's Orange Pippin dwarf pyramid tree - £3.99

    Bought - carried - planted : )

If I'd had a spare quid, I'd have bought some green secateurs too.

I bought gardening trousers size 12 but a bit baggy as I am an 8. But well made and dead comfy for 6.99. Also the dungarees hmmmm not exactly glam but great value. 2 cloches, a big plastic carrying thingy with handles, kneely mat, weed suppressant fabric, and a partridge in a pear tree............I lied about the last one. great value.

has anyone tried the electric chainsaw yet?£45? I've got no ambitions at becoming a lumberjack(...the highheels and bra just won't suit me!) but I do still have about 50 foot of unruly privet to control and it does appeal in making a long/tough job a lot easier.I'm thinking of making short work of controlling the thicker stems, rather than using it to trim the leaves.any thoughts?

hi spider pig,we have a privet hedge that gets quite thick, the other year i cut it back very drastic,i could have done with a chainsaw, would have been a lot easier,i realy scalped it, its probobly best done before it springs into life, all you could see on ours was bare wood, but heh presto,in a few weeks it was all green again ,i would suggest cutting it back further than you want,to make way for the new growth, hope this is of some use to you, have fun.

I only drink cider or real ale so my slug pubs were filled with lager, no scratchings I am afraid.

I got loads of plug plants in little mini greenhouses for Euro 2,99. There were 24 in mist packs and very fresh they were too. I now have them all planted in bigger pots and will grow then until they are hardy to go in to hanfing basket
I got Geraniuns Petunia,. Impatiensand trailing Lobelia. There were lots of friut threes there asnd also lots of shrubs if i anyone is interested.
